This figure shows three instances of the Dynamic Services engine communicating to an Oracle Internet Directory LDAP server serving as the central registry.

The basic steps for using OID LDAP as a master registry information are as follows:

1. The service administrator registers a service through one Dynamic Services engine.
2. This Dynamic Services engine updates the central registry, then broadcasts a synchronize message to all other instances of the Dynamic Services engine.
3. All other instances of Dynamic Services engines synchronize their registry cache with the central registry.
