This figure shows another example of the relationships among the Console, Management Server, and the Oracle Intelligent Agents.

Each node has an Intelligent Agent that communicates with the Management Server which in this example is on another machine. Each node is also shown accessing a shared database.

The Management Server has a data repository. However, in this example the repository is on another machine, but it is still accessible through the console of the system on which the Management Server resides.
