GetFieldByOriginalName Method

Description

This method returns the OField object based on original column name used in the "select" statement in the dynaset.

Usage

OField GetFieldByOriginalName(const char *name) const

Arguments

fieldname

The original name of the field, as expressed in the SQL query.

Remarks

This method returns an OField object on the indicated field. The field object remains valid until the dynaset is refreshed or destroyed.

This method is useful when sql statement contains 'schema.table.col' as the 'name' of the field and retrieve the field object specific to that original name.

Return Value

An OField, which will be open on success, closed on failure.
